I recently had a problem with several sites that I needed to access.  I was trying to help an elderly relative with their financial affairs and one of the steps involved transferring money from their Polish bank site to a UK savings account.   Fortunately the bank involved had an online service so we requested login details and awaited them through the post.  This was when we discovered that we were unable to login due to geotargeting.  Apparently lots of the online banking portals restrict access to their own country in order to prevent fraud.  This sounds great except a lot of people reside or travel in different countries.
